Thomas L. Kostovny, Sr. has over forty years of experience in the electrical construction industry. Tom worked for fifteen years at the United States Steel Corporation where he served his "Electrician-Wireman" apprenticeship. After the Homestead mill closed, Tom founded his own company, Kostovny Electric, in 1981. Tom completed dozens of projects with Kostovny Electric until his son, Daniel, graduated from College and restructured the company into Kostovny Electric LLC in 2012. Tom sits on the Advisory Board of Parkway West Technical School as well as the Advisory Board of Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School. Tom is also affiliated with the International Association of Electrical Inspectors.

Daniel J. Kostovny attended West Mifflin Area School District And Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School. During these years he served an apprenticeship with Kostovny Electric. In 2008, he received the highest honor of 'Student of the Year' at Steel Center and graduated with an Advanced with Distinction Certificate in Electrical Construction and a Basic Skills Certificate in CADD. After graduation he attended Saint Vincent College. In 2012 he graduated with a BS in Business Management. Along with his graduation in 2012, Dan Became the Sole member of Kostovny Electric LLC. Keeping the 30 years of experience of Kostovny Electric, Kostovny Electric LLC made some restructuring additions, while providing the same services to active customers.
With a successful first year, Dan strives to focus on continuous improvement to his company to help lower costs for the customer.

Kostovny Electric was founded in 1981 by Thomas L. Kostovny Sr. Starting with just four employees, Kostovny Electric grew into a seven-hundred and fifty thousand dollar a year electrical construction business, and reached its peak with thirty-six employees in 1989. In 2012, Kostovny Electric was restructured into Kostovny Electric LLC as Daniel J. Kostovny, succeeded his father as owner. Keeping the same location, employees, trucks, and customers, Dan and Tom worked together to make the transition quickly and without interruption in service to their customers. Kostovny Electric is actively involved in the Pennsylvania state and federally approved company apprenticeship program, with two apprentices currently in training. We have had eight apprentices complete the program to become electricians.
Kostovny Electric LLC has experience performing all types of electrical work ranging from residential outlets to the design-build of residential high-rise buildings, commercial office space, industrial machine and warehouse wiring. We are familiar with all phases of electrical construction including fire and security systems, telephone, cable TV and computer systems. The Kostovny Electric LLC service division can serve all your electrical needs, 24 hours a day. Our bucket truck provides us the added capability of handling most site lighting installation and maintenance of parking lot and roadway lights, as well as installation and maintenance of signage.
